Quarry Hill House

This project posed a distinct challenge: to reimagine a home entirely within its existing footprint. Rather than viewing this as a constraint, we embraced the opportunity to heighten its sense of space and seclusion through a deliberate interplay of texture, mood and carefully curated elements to define the character of this home.

Dark timber-clad walls, with their natural grain and depth of tone, create a cocooning warmth. Concealed doors add an element of mystery, while art niches punctuate the spaces as visual anchors. The careful orchestration of furniture placement, combined with a nuanced play of light and shadow, reinforces the home’s private, introspective character. 

Bold injections of colour, introduced through statement furniture and vibrant artwork act as focal points, offering moments of intrigue and contrast against the textured darkness. As a result, each accent brings energy and vibrancy, while maintaining a quiet balance with the surrounding design elements.
